    This award is recognises the dedication and commitment of an individual who works in the field on a daily basis protecting Africa’s wildlife. A Wildlife Ranger means a person working in the field including game scouts, game guards, wildlife trackers, wildlife monitors, both uniformed and non-uniformed.

    Nomination Criteria
    The judges will only consider nominations for individuals that are resident in an African country.

    They will look for evidence, but is not limited, to the following:

    Outright conservation achievement and recognition within country / Africa
    Sustainability of work
    Replicability of work
    Financial Credibility
    International recognition

  • Deadline: Please submit the complete pre nomination form no later than Tuesday 31st March 2020. This Pre Nomination Form will be submitted to the Nominating Committee. If the Committee decide to propose your nominee to the judges they will contact you to obtain further information on the nominee, including references from three individuals, one of whom must be an in-country referee.     We ask that you keep all details of your nomination strictly confidential and that neither you nor the supporting referees reveal to your candidate that he / she is being considered for a Tusk Conservation Award.
